A person's a person, no matter how small
Sunday's life teen night was about respecting life, more specifically respecting the life of babies. We live in a word where most people think it's ok to have abortions, that life does not begin at conception but at birth, and that that precious child in their mother's womb is nothing but a clump of cells. I know many people who whole heartily believe this, and that makes me so sad and angry. How can someone not recognize the beauty of life and what a gift it is! The thought of pro choicer's used to make my blood boil, but now I realize that they don't know, they honestly don't know how precious life is! They have never been shown the love of God they have not accepted Jesus into their lives and they don't know the love we as christians have for life! The only thing that we can do for these people is pray for them, talk to them, and show them love!
Many women who get abortions are very confused and scared, and so many of them regret their decision to have an abortion. Everyone knows "Roe vs. Wade" the case that legalized abortion in America in 1973, but what most people don't know is that Norma McCorvey "Jane Roe" never had an abortion and later became a Pro-life Catholic. If she is not a heart touching testimony of what Jesus can do, I don't know what is! I am proud to be pro-life and am honored to speak for those who can't.
This year will be my first time attending walk for life in San Francisco, and I am so excited! I along with my youth group will be marching and making known the evil of abortion. I am the pro-life generation! We need to continue the revolution and continually fight for life!
This is a prayer that my youth minister shared with my youth group yesterday, it is beautiful and I encourage all of you to pray it.
Prayer for life
Heavenly Father, you have made all human life in your image and likeness. Give me the ability to recognize that image in everyone, so that respect for human life becomes my way of life. Father, help me stand and give a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves. I commit my life from this day forth to be an advocate for even the smallest of human life. Grant me boldness and courage in the face of opposition. Help me be an example of your love for all your children.
